Starbucks Copycat Green Tea Frappuccino

by Caroline Hurley
Sometime around Halloween I tried a sample of a Starbucks drink called a Franken Frappuccino. It was amazing.  The drink was a combination of a green tea frappuccino with mint syrup and mocha chips. I didn't know that green tea frappuccinos were a thing but apparently you can order them all the time. Which is great because I wasn't all that interested in the chocolate chips anyway.  I'm trying to be an adult after all and something about chocolate chips in my morning beverage just doesn't make Read more [...]

Tortilla Soup

by Caroline Hurley
I was first introduced to tortilla soup about two years ago when I was in Cabo and I have loved it ever since. The brand is called Naturally Fresh and you can find it with the refrigerated salad dressings near the produce. They have other great dressings too. It comes Read more [...]

Mexican Caviar

by Caroline Hurley
A couple months ago I had a version of this dip and it blew me away. I'm not a huge bean person. I'll take baked beans and black bean soup but thats about it. It's unfortunate because beans are seriously good for you. Beans and lentils are the number one thing Americans should be increasing proportions of. Cultures that have beans as a staple in their diet have decreased incidence of heart disease and diabetes. Beans are nutritious and have serious filling power. So when I fell in love with this Read more [...]
